PRESSOTHERAPY LYMPHATIC MASSAGE

THE LATEST ATHLETE AND CELEBRITY HEALTH GO TO

Our NormaTec™ Pressotherapy takes compression to the next level.

The technology uses pulsated, sequential pneumatic compression delivered via leg boots similar to a large blood pressure cuff, which feature air chambers that are attached to a control unit and pump. These leg boots deliver sequential and pulsating compression to a particular area in a rhythmic motion., systematically enhancing blood flow and lymphatic fluid removal. It feels like a strong, relaxing massage. This creates an intensive and gliding compression wave, giving you individual and intensive regeneration. The high pressure is necessary to achieve a sufficiently intensive compression of the much firmer muscle tissue and to engage a lymphatic flush, which enhances a healthy blood flow back into the region by helping to remove waste products, inflammation, and swelling. Additionally, these boots enhance circulation in the legs via the same mechanism.

This is a 40 minute session. Your body may feel light afterward, and anecdotally, some people feel they have to urinate right away, which could be due to the movement of water in the body.

What are the benefits?

Your lymphatic system supports your immune system by removing toxins, getting rid of excess fluid and helping your body absorb vitamins from your digestive system.

Unfortunately, the lymphatic system can often get blocked or overrun because of things like stress, illness and an unhealthy lifestyle.

Because of the role the lymphatic system has, pressotherapy massage can help produce a wide range of health, aesthetic and fitness benefits. These include:

  • Supporting faster muscle recovery to aid with exercise

  • Reducing swelling caused by water retention

  • Make you more agile

  • Reducing cellulite

  • Aiding sleep and relaxation

  • Getting rid of toxins

  • Boosting the immune system to help prevent illness and disease

Pressotherapy gives athletes a competitive edge that will help them get back to their maximum performance after a hard workout. Top athletes, clubs and physiotherapists rely on pressotherapy not just to achieve their own athletic goals, but to exceed them.

The massage increases the flow of oxygenated blood, helping you feel lighter and less sore. It also recharges your muscles faster, ready for your next work out. You can also use it before exercise as increased flow of blood and oxygen helps to warm up your muscles without expanding the valuable energy you need for your session.

Firmer Skin

While a healthier lifestyle and regular exercise can make a difference, Pressotherapy Lymphatic Massage increases the flow of blood and oxygen to problem areas to take improvements to another level. It boosts circulation and brings healthy oxygenated blood to the treated areas. The build up of cellulite is broken down while firming and smoothing affected skin.

Stronger Immune System

There are many ways to detox, but the simple fact remains that our bodies already come complete with an array of amazing detoxing organs, all of which support by our incredible lymphatic system.

However the problem is, that stress, poor diet, pollution and a less-active lifestyle can all overwhelm the lymphatic system, leading to a build up of toxins and other waste. In turn, this can cause problems such as swelling, bloating, joint pain, headaches and fatigue – as well as compromise your immune system, making you more susceptible to illness.

A gentle Pressotherapy Lymphatic massage targets the lymphatic system, helping to flush out toxins and helping you avoid many of their associated problems. It can also give your immune system the boost it needs to help fight off illness and disease.

Stress Free and Better Sleep

The stress that we feel from our busy lives is not only bad for our mental health, but for our physical health as well.

Stress is believed to be the cause of up to 80% of all chronic health issues, and is one of the major causes of poor lymphatic health.

When we’re stressed our body naturally produces the stress-fighting hormone cortisol, which has been shown to hinder lymphatic flow. Chronic exposure can interfere with our immune system, therefore making us more susceptible to illness. Cortisol leaves behind waste products which are called free radicals which is a believed by many experts to a leading cause of premature ageing.

Pressotherapy Lymphatic massage doesn’t just leave you feeling calmer, more relaxed and ready for a better night’s sleep, it also helps your body eliminate stress-related free radicals, keeping your lymphatic system healthy and free flowing.
